Good walking/jogging shoes?? | GatherI am getting myself 2 things for Christmas this season, both built to help me work at my goals of being in better shape and losing weight.
Today, I found a new MP3 player. I had a 4GB ipod, that has been full. I got very frustrated with how hard it really is to get songs everywhere besides iTunes. The Apple items are just too "exclusive" sometimes, as well as more expensive usually! So today I bought myself a 16GB Sony MP3 player. I did this mostly because I have discovered that if I have music playing when I go for a walk or some other workout, I tend to work out better, walk faster, and workout a LOT longer!
The second thing I need is an excellent pair of walking/jogging shoes. Someday I hope to work up to running, even distance running and possibly some 5K's!!! But for now, mostly walking with some jogging.
It's hard for me to find good, comfortable shoes. I have feet which can be narrow at the heel and a lot wider through the toes. I had bunion surgery on my small left foot a few years ago, and I have a bunion on my own right foot that is not severe enough to want surgery yet. I use a fairly flat/neutral arch.
Where should I go to get shoes? I'm happy to spend a good amount to have shoes which will fit well {and not|and never|rather tha
