At some time of my college graduation, I had no job. Well, that is not exactly true.'? I still had the total time head'?bartending/waiting gig on the Inn how the college, at which'?I attended,'?owned.'? I had thought we would bypass the business recruiting route during senior year looking for somehow using my English lit and creative writing degree later on. In the meantime, I did have needed foot operation.
During my three month recuperation period, one of my friends called me and asserted she needed a roommate. In Manhattan. With no prospects with out job, my orthopedic booty and I transferred to the Big Apple. Within 2 months of moving to Manhattan, schlepping to interviews within my oh-so-not-attractive bright blue orthopedic booty, I was lucky enough to get be hired at my favorite magazine, "The New Yorker." [As a side note, I sent 128 resumes and only got two interviews.]
