Throw Out Your Worn Out Running ShoesAlthough the title specifies athletic shoes, I'm penning this with all types of running sneakers in mind: footwear, walking shoes, sneakers, aerobics shoes, basketball shoes, etc. The principle is generally the same. For brevity, lets just make reference to them for the most part as running shoes.
We all understand that jogging shoes have a limited lifespan. Most people, however, always wear them well after their useful life ends. In my office, I mostly will have people tell me that their shoes are a long period old BUT (insert excuse here...). Some of my favorites, it fits my feet perfectly (meaning it's separated), the heel is broken down just how I like it (meaning it has a hole in the shoe), new shoes just bother me (which means that I've worn these for such a long time, the support is simply too different at this point), and my personal favorite: They still look new.
Yes, they still look new. When all that you do runs on the treadmill, utilize elliptical, and some stationary bike, as well as your shoes never start to see the light of day, of course they look new. What's problematic will be the part you never see.
